Put yourself in position. Sales to your quad for a ride discover and explore a bit the environment around you. A fun time for beaches away from the hand of God, where tourists never go and only known by the locals. It's a weekend again, a little more breathing the ocean air mixed with clay. Until you find something that is not usually there. A silhouette of several meters and angular appears in the middle of the arena. Time to call Iker Jimenez? No, still. It seems only container.
But curiosity, of course, is killing you and you decide to open for a look. What you find is the last thing you would have thought: a Harley-Davidson in "near perfect" state. This is a true story of Peter Mark, a Canadian who was on Graham Island beach when he met with such surprise. Checking the registration of the motorcycle authorities were able to conclude that it was one of the units of the prefecture of Miyagi, severely affected by the tsunami in Japan last year.
Apparently the force of the water carried the container beyond the island and ocean currents were in charge of the rest. Knowing the number plate right now is looking to its respective owner while the machine is resting in the place where it was found access to the beach is really complicated.

2012 Harley Street Glide FLHX Reviews
New for 2011 the Harley Street Glide FLHX has a 2-1-2 exhaust. Take a look at more of the Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles including the motorcycle luggage storage capacity of the Electra Glide Classic or the Road Glide Ultra ideal for motorcycle travel.
At the same time the Street Glide’s fly-by-wire throttle linked to sequential port fuel injection and monitored by a Delphi engine management system are revolutionary.
The Street Glide is a luxury model of Harley’s touring line and pulls like a Massy Ferguson tractor from off idle to the bike’s 5500-rpm rev limiter. My 155-pound frame didn’t compress the suspension enough to establish a proper ride height and I was always riding on top of the bike’s 4+ inches of travel. After filling the six-gallon tank with premium gas, some quick math reveals the bike was averaging 35 mpg.
Plucking a canteen from the low-slung saddlebags, I sit on a curb and stare at the denim blue bike. Stomping on the rear brake I slow before U-turning and head back toward Paradise Harley. The sweating sun stares me in the face while I test the bike’s high speed maneuvering through traffic. Twenty large is a lot to spend on any bike, but if you are in the market for a modern bagger then the Street Glide is the bike to ride.
The innovative Harley-Davidson Touring chassis is based on a single-spar, rigid backbone frame and a stout swingarm developed to withstand the demands of long-haul touring riders and today's powerful engines.--A lower profile, smoked windscreen with a unique contour adds to the distinctive look of the Street Glide model.
Exclusively on the Street Glide model, saddlebag latches and hardware are painted to match the bike's color instead of a more chromed-out look. That means the bike maintains its legendary tight turning radius, balanced feel and superior low-speed maneuverability.
Up to two times thicker than the competition, custom quality paint comes standard on all Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Bigger metal flakes. Part of the unmistakable style of the Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycle is plenty of room for showing --Harley-Davidson tank medallions complete the unique look of this tough bagger.
The Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission smooth, quiet shifts d, so that motorists get a better match between the rotation speed on the road and mesinya -, a low growl and walk away if you opening up the road ahead.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail Convertible will meet the needs of many riders, especially those looking to transform their style from custom tourer to custom cruiser.
Additional new features include locking leather saddlebags, a leather rider seat and passenger pillion, and a leather backrest pad. Standard Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), cruise control, keyless ignition and ABS (anti-lock braking system) give the CVO Softail Convertible more touring capability.
The 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail Convertible is a limited edition touring bike, which company will produce approximately 2400 units. The 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail (FLSTSE2) Convertible start price at $29,599.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail Convertible also equipped with Standard Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), cruise control, keyless ignition and ABS (anti-lock braking system) for the stopping power.
Those motorcyclists seeking the best of both worlds would appreciate the $29,599 CVO Softail Convertible. It can quickly transform from custom touring to custom cruising within minutes courtesy of its removable front fairing, leather saddlebags, passenger pillion and backrest. Based off the standard Softail platform, the CVO Softail Convertible adds a clever detachable fairing that can be removed quickly without tools. The Convertible comes in three colors: Scarlet Red Pearl and Dark Slate Pearl with Metal Grind Graphics, Midnight Sky and Candy Cobalt with Blue Ice Graphics, and Maple Metallic and Roman Gold with Burnished Copper Graphics, our favorite being the latter. Additional engine performance comes in the form of a high-flow Ventilator engine air intake, while spent gases travel through a chrome twin pipe exhaust system.
The seat sports Alligator-style inserts on it as do the saddlebags and passenger seat. The seat and position of the bars equate to a more forward-biased riding position and it isn’t that comfortable unless you’re only planning on going for a short ride. On the road the 2011 Softail Convertible doesn’t deliver as comfortable a ride as the dedicated touring bikes, even with the touring fairing installed. On rough pavement the Softail will wear out the rider quickly. For Harley purists looking to join the exclusive CVO ownership club, the Softail Convertible comes with the lowest sticker price of H-D’s 2011 CVO models.

2011 Harley-Davidson SuperLow

The new Harley-Davidson SuperLow model reintroduces the pure pleasure of motorcycling. Comfort is a key aspect of the SuperLow experience. The 18-inch-diameter front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel are fitted with Michelin Scorcher 11 radial tires. The profile, tread pattern and construction of these tires were developed specifically to enhance the handling of the SuperLow model.
The new wheel-and-tire combination significantly reduces mass and inertia front and rear, which when combined with the tire design, improves steering response, and reduces steering effort.
Its low-profile radial tires, solo seat and long fuel tank shape give the SuperLow an appealing new stance that's wide and low.
Enter the Motor Company’s 2011 lineup, and the Sportster SuperLow is one of three new motorcycles to join Harley-Davidson’s offerings. Replacing the 883 Low, the SuperLow addresses concerns that surfaced from customer and dealer feedback. This Sportster rides on new Michelin Scorcher radial tires specifically designed for the SuperLow, and Harley engineers say they applied refinements to the bike’s geometry from lessons learned during the XR1200X’s suspension tuning. With a saddle that sits only 25.5 inches above ground (26.8 inches unladen), most riders who climb aboard the SuperLow should feel confident at the helm.
The Harley-Davidson SuperLow Review for Beginning Riders
While expert riders shouldn’t encounter too much frustration while riding the SuperLow in a straight line, curvy roads will almost certainly encourage creative ways to coax just a little more lean angle out of the diminutive bike. The SuperLow is powered by an air-cooled, fuel-injected 883cc (or 53.9 cubic inch) v-twin paired with a 5-speed transmission. Fuel capacity is 4.5 gallons, and fuel economy is estimated at 45 mpg city, 60 mpg highway. Suspension consists of 39mm Showa forks with 4.26 inches of travel, and dual pre-load adjustable rear coilovers with 2.12 inches of travel. Compared to the outgoing“883 Low”, the SuperLow’s wheels have decreased an inch in diameter to eighteen inches at the front, and seventeen inches at the rear. The 2011 Harley-Davisdon SuperLow includes a 24 month, unlimited mileage warranty.
To find out why the SuperLow earns a spot on our list of 10 Great Beginner Bikes, read this 2011 Harley-Davidson SuperLow Review, and check out this Photo Gallery for shots of this new-for-2011 bike

2011 Harley-Davidson Blackline

2011 Harley-Davidson Blackline Review
Announced at the New York International Motorcycle Show, the new stripped-to-the-bone 2011 "Harley-Davidson Blackline "motorcycle is the latest in the Harley Softail model family.
As the next edition to the growing and ever-popular Dark Custom motorcycle line, the Blackline celebrates three fundamental elements of Harley-Davidson motorcycling: mechanical beauty, internal combustion, and the V-twin thirst to ride the black-line (road) ahead.
The Blackline styling spotlight shines on a "Harley-Davidson" Big Twin engine dressed in black and silver, and on a fuel tank shaved smooth and low.

The Blackline is a "Harley-Davidson Softail" pared to the bone with visual elements of the original bobber movement combined with a raw style embraced by today's young bike builders. The rear fender is bobbed high-and-tight over a slim, 144 mm tire that emphasizes an authentic hardtail profile. The rider hugs the frame on the lowest two-up seat offered by Harley-Davidson, while reaching high for the new Split Drag handlebar. The rigid powertrain allows tight packaging of the engine and frame to create a solid connection between the rider and the power that moves the Blackline.
A rebellious creation of the Dark Custom movement, the Blackline celebrates three fundamental elements of motorcycling: mechanical beauty, internal combustion, and the long black line of the road ahead.
Black-rimmed laced wheels complete a look that’s tough, tempered and undeniably Harley-Davidson.
The Blackline’s Softail chassis uses a rear-suspension control that’s provided by coil-over shock absorbers found below the bike’s powertrain. A host of other elements found in the Harley-Davidson Blackline include a horseshoe-shaped oil tank dressed in black and inspired by the 1936 ELsmooth. The bike also rides on 21 x 2.15 inch front wheels and 16 x 3 inch rear wheels, wrapped around Dunlop D402 MH90-21 front tires and Dunlop MU85B16 rear tires.
Slender and powerful at the same time, the Harley-Davidson Blackline is the perfect bike for the thrill-seeking renegade in all of us.

2011 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy

The legendary Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle defined the "fat custom" category and imitators everywhere tried to copy its magic. This original continues to turn heads wherever it rolls, with fat tires, fat bars, a fat fender and a big, powerful, black powder-coated, counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B engine. The Fat Boy model is the very definition of a heavyweight motorcycle, delivering a bold styling statement and a wide, comfortable riding stance.
I guess the first thing I should disclose is that I've never really liked the Fat Boy moniker that Harley-Davidson put on this Softail motorcycle. The logic for the first word in the Fat Boy name comes from the beefy appearance of the motorcycle, including a muscular 140 front tire. Is it a boy bike? As it turns out, the Fat Boy is a stunningly good boulevard cruiser. I'm a big fan of the balanced Twin Cam motor with the rigid mounting for city cruising. Everything is where it should be on the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
That fat front tire, along with a boisterous 200 rear tire (both are Harley-Davidson branded Dunlop 17-inchers), gives the Fat Boy both a solid presence and a solid ride. The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy's weight all but disappears beneath you, thanks to the low-slung Softail frame. Despite the fat front tire, the Fat Boy is more than nimble enough around town. No one is going to describe the Fat Boy's Softail suspension as plush. Braking on a Harley-Davidson is always a crapshoot. In the case of the Fat Boy, the rear brake is the way to go. On the freeway, the Fat Boy is a decent ride. Yeah, 6th is stratospheric on this bike.
If you're the kind of rider who likes to head for the canyons, you'll find the Fat Boy a bit ponderous. Harley-Davidson did update the Fat Boy this year, but the changes are minor. The horn switch does double duty as the odometer switch.

2011 Harley CVO Electra Glide

Harley-Davidson has introduced the newest member of the Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) family: the FLHTCUSE6 CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide motorcycle.
It features an exclusive Twilight Blue and Candy Cobalt with Flame graphic color paint scheme, with color-matched inner fairing assembly, inner fairing cap, and rear fender filler strips.
The front suspension is a Telescopic Fork while the rear suspension is a Twin Sided Swing Arm. Front Dual Hydraulic Disc brakes and rear Hydraulic Disc brakes provide for the stopping power. The Electra Glide(r) CVO(tm) Ultra Classic(r) comes standard with a One-Piece, 2-passenger seating.
Every year, Harley's CVO team selects four models and hooks them up with exclusive accoutrements, snazzy paint and, of course, the CVO-exclusive 110-cubic-inch Screamin' Eagle engine. For 2011 the Ultra Classic Electra Glide, gangsta-fave Street Glide and versatile Softail Convertible return to the CVO stage, with the revered Road Glide Ultra rolling in to replace the Fat Bob.
To clear up any confusion, the Road Glide Ultra differs from its cousins the Ultra Classic Electra Glide and Street Glide by way of its hawkish, frame-mounted fairing and cockpit-style instrumentation. The Road Glide comes standard with ABS, electronic throttle control and a six-speed transmission. It offers an updated Road Tech 660 GPS system, with audio commands available through the external stereo speakers. bagger speakers. The 'Glide also gets a suspended, heated touring saddle that it shares with the Electra Glide, as well as a remote-control power-lock system that locks/unlocks the bike's trunk, saddlebags and ignition via a pushbutton fob.

2011 Harley-Davidson Sportster XR1200X Review

When Harley announced in late ’07 the XR1200 as a 2008 European-only model, the decision seemed confounding to Americans who couldn’t buy the Americana-infused XR.
First and foremost because it is, after all, a Harley-Davidson; secondly because its styling is directly inspired by the iconic XR750, Harley’s famous, purpose-built flat-track dominator.
As something of a cautious homage to the original XR750, the XR1200 saw an initial limited run of only 750 units. For 2010 the European market received the XR1200X: an XR with uprated suspension and some additional touchups. American XR owners could have the same suspension package, but only as an optional kit on the order of $1500. The X model trades the XR1200’s 43mm non-adjustable inverted fork for Showa’s fully adjustable 43mm Big Piston Fork, first seen in wide release on the ’09 ZX-6R. Although the XR-X still employs the same powerful dual, four-piston Nissin calipers from the previous XR model, the 292mm rotors are now of the floating variety.
The spirited 1200cc Sportster engine in the X model gets the black-out treatment, as does the dual upswept exhaust system that’s reminiscent of the XR750’s high pipes. The XR1200’s engine and exhaust were finished in a silvery color.
Recall that the same suspension that’s now on the X model was last year offered as a $1500 upgrade for the standard XR.Also worth noting, the XR1200X model will replace the XR1200 in 2011.
Harley-Davidson chose a street-only setting for the December 2008 press launch of the XR1200; but for the X’s launch it was wheels up on a famous American racetrack!
This track was also the first stop in a five-race schedule for the AMA Vance & Hines XR1200 Series.
We ran an abbreviated version of the 14-turn, 4-mile-long circuit, as there was little point in subjecting the XR and its 7K-rpm redline to Road America’s long front straight.
If you plan to take your X model to the track (or XR for that matter), a simple swap to race-compound pads should serve well to improve feel and power. If you’ll only ever ride the streets and canyons, then the XR-X has all the brake you could desire.
Something else Road America revealed about the XR was the bike’s limited lean angles. Transitioning from left to right required deliberate action, but leverage offered from the XR’s wide handlebar helped reduce steering input effort.
I seized the opportunity to ride an XR1200 back-to-back with the new X model. Although the new BPF front-end and improved shocks provided a moderately firmer feel, the standard suspension on the XR12 wasn’t far off pace in terms of stability and damping quality.
I did, and the turn went smoothly, but there was this surprising sound and feeling down by my right foot. I guess I'd have to spend some time getting familiar with this bike if I was riding one regularly. I'm sure there's a happy medium.
That said, I've seen plenty of people burning up long miles on them.
No one will be surprised that the seat height was low, 26 inches. Then with the grips a forward-reach away, and my feet out in front, the riding position was not what I consider comfortable unless I made a deliberate effort to sit very upright on the front part of the seat.
One thing this bike absolutely has is power. With 1200cc in that engine, on this small, light bike, you'd better believe it has power.
Lowered suspension, Fat Bob front tire, peanut tank, forward-mounted footpegs and forward-mounted short bars create a riding style without any big twin comfort compromises.
The low 26.8-inch solo seat sags almost an inch if you weigh 180 pounds (official H-D measurements). Adjusting my riding style a little, I was able to enjoy myself by braking late and accelerating early. As long as the tarmac isn't bumpy, the front suspension copes and the fat front tire helps with suspension duties, as long as the riding style is smooth enough.
The riding position gives you that "I'm much meaner than you are" posture, and with all that rubber on the road, it brakes well. The Harley-Davidson's tiny 1.6-gallon fuel tank won't take you far either, so the Forty-Eight is a bit of a big city poser. I see the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight as a great alternative to bikes such as the Ducati Monster if the main riding is in the city.
The mirrors on this bike are worth a mention, as they are mounted underneath the handlebars. I really liked my time in the saddle of the 2011 Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight. If you haven't got big biking ambitions and only ride a few miles every day then the Forty-Eight is perfect.

Harley Davidson start assembling bikes in India

Harley-Davidson India imports completely assembled motorcycles from its US final assembly plants. Besides India, outside the US, the company has CKD assembly operations in Brazil.
After the Haryana facility will be operational, Harley-Davidson India will import CKD kits for select models from the company's US plants and employees at the Haryana facility will then assemble the components into finished motorcycles, the company added.
Harley-Davidson India commenced operations in August 2009 and currently offers 12 models in its 2010 line-up in India.
Days ahead of President Barack Obama's visit, US cult bike maker Harley Davidson on Tuesday said it will start assembling bikes in India from next year.
Harley Davidson first started selling its imported bikes in India from this year.
The strengthening of business ties between the two countries (US and India) gives us the confidence to invest further here," Harley Davidson India Managing Director Anoop Prakash told reporters.
After prolonged negotiations, India had relaxed emission norms for big bikes above 800cc in order to let Harley Davidson sell its products here after the US agreed to allow Indian mangoes to be sold there in 2007.
Prakash, however, declined to specify the installed capacity of the plant that would assemble completely knocked down (CKD) units of bikes. The company, which started selling its products since July this year, is expecting sell 200-250 units by the end of 2010, Prakash said.
iconic American superbike maker Harley Davidson is setting up an assembly unit at Bawal, Haryana. The move will help Harley substantially cut the price of its bikes in India. The domestic price of Harleys ranges from Rs 6.95 lakh to Rs 34.95 lakh-- BMW will also start operations in December.
Harley Davidson India Managing Director Anoop Prakash said, "We are evaluating the tariff structures
Harley Davidson currently offers 12 models belonging to five families: Sportster, Dyna, Softail, V-Rod and Touring-- Our customers do belong to a higher income group--. Priced at Rs 34.95 lakh, the Electra Glide is the most expensive model in the Harley Davidson portfolio at present. "Electra Glide is our touring flagship model-- Globally, Harley Davidson would sell 1,000 units of the Electra Glide," added Tripathi--"Delhi and Mumbai are our biggest markets.

The 2010 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 models are looking splendid and come at a low price of $7,000. I particularly like the blacked out style chrome style. The 2010 1200 Custom provides a classic look with the bullet headlamp, forward-mounted foot pegs and the low-rise handlebars; the bike costs $10,000. The "Harley Davidson Sportster XR1200" is my personal favorite.
The Sportster is a cornerstone of Harley-Davidson’s empire.
Typically, Sportster models are the lowest-priced bikes from H-D and have one of the lowest seat heights in the line. Most importantly though, Sporties offer the core Harley experience: an air-cooled, pushrod V-Twin-powered cruiser.
Of the seven models that currently comprise the Sporty line, five are powered by the fuel-injected, rubber-mounted, air-cooled, 1203cc Evolution V-Twin, which Harley says is good for 79 ft-lbs at 4000 rpm. Like all Harley Davidson Sportster , the Harley Davidson Sportster 883 models are fuel-injected.
Both models are also part of a subset of Harleys called Dark Customs. Like the Nightster, this latest Dark Custom family member features a blacked-out Evolution V-Twin engine and other blacked-out components including air cleaner cover, hand controls and turn signals.
Hinting at the Forty-Eight’s bobber-inspired styling is a 2.1-gallon peanut tank, chopped front fender, solo saddle, and a chubby 16-inch front tire riding a black laced wheel; its 16-inch mate rolls out back. Another clue to its bobber theme are mirrors mounted below the handlebar. Sportster
.The 2.1-gallon peanut tank complements the bike’s style and evokes images of Harleys from as far back as ’48, when Harley first employed the tank style. Despite a plump Dunlop D402 (130/90 x 16) front tire, steering effort was much lighter than expected.
