A Harley-Davidson arrives in Canada carried away by the tsunami in Japan

Put yourself in position. Sales to your quad for a ride discover and explore a bit the environment around you. A fun time for beaches away from the hand of God, where tourists never go and only known by the locals. It's a weekend again, a little more breathing the ocean air mixed with clay. Until you find something that is not usually there. A silhouette of several meters and angular appears in the middle of the arena. Time to call Iker Jimenez? No, still. It seems only container.

But curiosity, of course, is killing you and you decide to open for a look. What you find is the last thing you would have thought: a Harley-Davidson in "near perfect" state. This is a true story of Peter Mark, a Canadian who was on Graham Island beach when he met with such surprise. Checking the registration of the motorcycle authorities were able to conclude that it was one of the units of the prefecture of Miyagi, severely affected by the tsunami in Japan last year.

Apparently the force of the water carried the container beyond the island and ocean currents were in charge of the rest. Knowing the number plate right now is looking to its respective owner while the machine is resting in the place where it was found access to the beach is really complicated.

The world's largest motorcycle

She entered the Guinness Book of Records the chopper prepared by Royal Design, presented at the Motor Bike Expo 2012 in Verona, covering 145 km. It is 5 meters high and 10 long, weighs 4 tons and is equipped with the GM 5700

Guinness World Records: the bike world's largest Italian de
the giant chopper by Royal Design we had seen at the Motor Bike Expo 2012 in Verona. An exhibition to promote the cause of Fabio Reggiani and his team build the bike of the world's largest mobile.

A few days ago came the award: entered the Guinness Book of Records passing the required test or to travel at least 100 meters. The Great Bike has 145 locations, in one of the partner companies, the Ten of Montecchio Emilia, certified by the municipal police in front of a large crowd came to witness the event.

"Mission accomplished!" Exclaimed an excited Reggiani.
Size of the bike worlds largest
the chopper of a giant bright red measuring 5 feet high by 10 long and weighs 4 tons. It is propelled by a V8 engine of GM's 5.7-liter which was combined with an automatic transmission Buick. She moved on tires from 2.2 meters in diameter and three feet wide, weighing 1,200 kg. The inspiration comes from the U.S. chopper but in scale 6:1.

"The bike was built in record time in five months by a staff of four lovers who worked fifteen hours a day," the organizers explain.

It was more than necessary: in fact, each piece is made with special techniques by skilled artisans, while both the airbrush painting that was made with artistic quality.

Why is the world's largest motorcycle?
The idea, says Reggiani, "was born during a trip to New Zealand, along a road when we saw a giant bike, made of iron in a very traditional and basic, but nevertheless, aroused great interest and curiosity among passers-by, from there we developed the thought that we could build something similar but with a motor, since we are all motorcycle enthusiasts.

We know that the appetite comes with eating and soon the idea grew and magnified into thinking only one thing to make and enter into the record books. So now we have found that the record of the biggest motorcycle was established in 2007 and is owned by an American manufacturer who has developed a motorcycle six feet long and three high. We immediately thought of something much larger than that currently does not reveal for obvious reasons, but we can ensure that the U.S., in front of us, might seem like a minibike. Just think that our chopper wheel has a diameter of over two meters by one wide, typically used in large bulldozers from the quarry, will be completely to scale and mount a V8 engine from the automobile industry with many horses and adapted to the bike, thanks to particular transmission systems. Our tool will not be static, as often happens in these types of achievements, but will be marching and operated, as required by the Guinness judges. All mechanical components are unique pieces, made of various materials, including alloys also special. "

MV Agusta Brutale F3 and electronically assisted with change

The MV Agusta F3 675 is now available at dealerships and MV Agusta Brutale F3 will be announced in June as well the Italian brand on its website. Due to high demands and orders that are received at the factory, have decided to offer two models of the MV Agusta Brutale F3. An electronic version with electronically assisted called EAS. A change that allows the selection of gears to engage gas without cutting or clutch.

Shifter which adds to the already extensive and advanced electronic management system possessing these models MV Agusta. Prices increase in the MV Agusta F3 Euro 11,990 of the 12,390 standard assisted with change. The MV Agusta Brutale 8990 F3 starts in the first version for 9390 with the EAS system. They are just 400 euros worth the extra in the future should appear as option in the MV Agusta Special Parts, at its website, and for these two models mentioned, is not yet drawn up. Why can not freely choose accessories?

MV Agusta is right to offer two versions although the differences may know little. On track days, attended the change will be our best ally. Particularly to engage gears above about 8000 turns. For this I am guided by the rate of rotation of the Triumph Street Triple 675 not are far from these MV Agusta. On the road and circulating more quietly too much juice can be drawn to this accessory for the extra convenience it offers and is perhaps less city where it is used.

I will not tire of repeating that the manufacturer is able to offer a catalog of a la carte options is likely to break the market. And more than a model with an affordable price for what it offers as in the case of the MV Agusta Brutale F3 in the version that goes directly to conquer the naked sports segment. If MV Agusta could offer in section Special Parts improvements in brakes and suspensions can leave factory assembled and do not involve the user having to stay with the original components in a corner of your garage can deliver a punch line to market. I do not mean mounted units with luxury components, I mean to choose. Here's market share in time are, MV Agusta and others.

KTM Duke 690 Track edition, only 200 units...

I knew that could not be the only one on the face of the Earth when he saw the preparations for the KTM Duke 690 EJC serves as the basis for the European Junior Cup KTM had fallen madly in love.

Surely there are few people more and KTM has realized quickly because it will take to sell a super-exclusive limited edition of 200 units KTM Duke 690 called Track, identical to those used in competition.

To start and on the basis of a KTM Duke 690, the engine has been tweaked with another camshaft and modified the air box. The exhaust is made entirely of titanium Akrapovic and for all this to render properly, it was given a specific injection map. In all, the power gain is about 9 hp, 79 hp left in total for a single cylinder...!

In the part of the KTM Duke 690 cycle Track receives a new fully adjustable WP fork Race also raises the bike 15mm. Behind the shock of origin can only be regulated in preload is replaced by a fully adjustable. However, both the chassis and the sub frame remain unchanged.

If we jump on the brakes, remember that the KTM Duke 690 Street ABS equipped. However, as this model is not approved for road anti-lock system has been dismantled and instead receives racing Brembo brakes with new radial four-piston calipers and thicker discs to hold the most power braking.

As for the body, receives several pieces Power Parts Catalog. The seat is new, much stronger and can move more easily from side to side on track. Renthal handlebar is narrower and the stirrups are placed further back and higher, to get a sportier and prevent rubbing in the corners.

And all this for how you may ask? Well, currently there is definitive price but since KTM say that will be below € 10,000. I win the lottery, that I win the lottery, that I win the lottery ... Because from KTM also ensure that their consumption is about 7 l/100. And that, the price moves now really is the fuel pump also.

Ducati 798 Desmosport R Concept

by a super sport Oberdan Bezzi much less extreme Panigale super bike 1199, with an engine from 100 hp air-cooled around a trellis frame and, above all, much less expensive

A Ducati Super sport for all
The idea of the designer Oberdan Bezzi is simple and covers an area in the range of sports desmodromic of Borgo Panigale. Considering that the smallest, the Ducati Super bike 848EVO and more, the new 1199 Ducati Panigale arrived, they have a higher technical level with the costs of purchase (for the first € 14,690, € 19,190 for the second), why not make a super sport accessible to a wider customer base loves sport bikes and possibly Ducati?

Because not everyone can afford certain expenses as a skill sport such a super bike to take on the track from 195 hp to 188 kg.

Ducati 798 R Concept Desmosport
Keeping a few technical and aesthetic aspects of the Ducati Panigale 1199, as supplemented by a fully adjustable monoshock posteiore aluminum swingarm, the front and the tail reduced Oberdan Bezzi has created a super sport bike powered by an air-cooled Desmo engine capacity of less than average 100 bhp distributed over 165 kilograms, enough to have fun even for beginners track.

For nostalgini back the trellis frame and discharges under the tail.
Thanks to an analysis of the costs of production according to the designer could get a super sport from the final price of 9,000 Euros. The aesthetics, however, is a true Ducati, without necessarily being a Panigale.

2012 MotoGP: Casey Stoner takes another blow to be the fastest on the final day of testing at Jerez

No more it was given. Today they have completed IRTA MotoGP test to be held at the Jerez circuit with a third day when the sun has shone, circumstances that have taken advantage of how nice all the drivers after the rain that appeared yesterday. Of course, Casey Stoner has again shown that it is the driver to beat for the start of the 2012 season in the next tasting April 8. It was the fastest, and has done as Friday, beating the record of Jorge Lorenzo in the closing minutes. Australian incredible mastery.

As I said, perfect day for motorcycling, with a sun that has left me say charred face, but in which all those present we enjoyed as children, and I the first. But let that go, that's why we ... Casey have again shown that little thing is quite controlled and stopped the clock in 1:38.780. And I say controlled, because it seems off the clock at will when it suits him, as all the day was dominated by Jorge Lorenzo until that final blow.

A Lorenzo getting off the 1:39 bright and early, before noon and then could not improve, in particular remained in 1:38.953. And so far the only two drivers who have managed to shoot in 1:38, because the third, who was Dani Pedrosa, has stopped the clock in 1:39.157. Well anyway Dani and Jorge, who have been rolling all day long, fast. In fourth place we find Ben Spies closing that first group of pilot’s oficial Honda and Yamaha.

Already in the fifth place we see a great Cal Crutch low, the first official driver and you'll quickly see rolling on a bike, is impressive as she squirms over, and I still think (not new) that is one of the most spectacular drivers of the MotoGP grid. In sixth place, and taking a small step forward, Valentino Rossi, who has won at least be the fastest Ducati today and stay within a jiffy Stoner. And to complete the top ten to say that Andrea Dovizioso was seventh, eighth Nicky Hayden, Alvaro Bautista Stefan Bradl ninth and tenth. The first CRT was again that of Randy de Puniet in the thirteenth place, and we must prepare to attend this year to two parallel world: the world of official bike versus new CRT.

Emphasize again how much I have used this day pilots. For example, Nicky and Hector Barbera have 91 laps, while Rossi Jorge has 90 or 84. Just to name a few. There have been declines in the day, highlighting what has been Mattia Pasini in the absence of less than an hour to kill and forced to take a red flag for a few little minutes. Course, is perfectly Mattie. Others who have fallen have been Franco Battaini on the curve to the finish line and Alvaro Bautista, who went down in Dry Sack, but seeing them rush in stronger braking circuit no wonder that some brew a tad.

And here these three days of testing at Jerez, where he has gone back to see who calls the shots now in the category, and where we could get acquainted with new colors and new CRT. Of course, I do not quite completely, and I will share with you a gallery of all that I could see (and enjoy) in the circuit. I promise some pictures are worth, you'll see ...

For the rest, and yes we enter fully into the whirlwind weekend full of competition. Good! The next day, April 1 new round of the World Super bike opener and the CEV, while the eighth day we will see the sunset over the World Motorcycling Championship in Tasting. Touch to be putting little crosses on the calendar ...

So, Maverick Vinales was the only pilot who has shot more below the 1'47 barrier "which gives us an idea of its strong bid for the title of Moto3

Danny Kent of Red Bull KTM , was the pilot at a rate closer to the mark by Vinales. The British made a better record of 1'47 .262, ahead of the newcomer to the World Championship, Romano Fenati (Team Italy IMF). The New Ducati 1199 Panigale superbike

DUCATI has launched the first teaser video for the forthcoming 1199 superbike – confirming its name to be Ducati 1199 Panigale.

The use of the DUCATI Panigale name for the new bike suggests that another term trademarked by Ducati – Superquadro – will be used to describe the all-new engine it uses. The Superquadro name translates to 'Super Square' in reference to the cylinders' hugely over-square bore and stroke dimensions.
Ironically, the teaser for the Panigale – the first production bike to use Ducati's monocoque frame design derived from the Desmosedici racer – has been revealed on the same day that Rossi is expected to test a conventional alloy beam framed version of the GP bike in an effort to solve the handling woes that have marred his season so far.

It's also certain to be a concern for Ducati's marketing department, which was hoping to have at least a handful of Rossi/Ducati wins under its belt in preparation for the Panigale's launch.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale will race in next year’s Superstock Championship and then eventually in 2013 make its way into World Superbikes.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has revealed the name of its next-generation superbike: the Ducati 1199 Panigale. The name is taken from the district of Bologna which the Ducati factory calls home – pronounced Pan-ee-gah-lee – while Ducati prefers the reference to the 1199cc engine to be pronounced eleven-nine-nine.

Ducati promises the new model will deliver “record performance, breathtaking design and technical innovation”.

Ducati has announced its 2012 superbike will be named the Ducati 1199 Panigale, and it will be unveiled during the EICMA International Motorcycle Show, which will be held Nov. 10-13 in Milan, Italy. Ducati has released at video of the motorcycle at www.ducatiusa.com and on Ducati Motor Holding’s official YouTube channel.

The 2012 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade Revealed

Honda has unveiled the 2012 version of the famous Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade superbike.

43mm inverted forks form the basis of the suspension setup up front with Showa’s Big Piston technology offering improved damping, increased front tyre grip and better stability under braking.

The launch even was attended by Honda’s top riders including Johnathan Rea who rides for the Castrol Honda Team in the WSBK Championship and John McGuinness, racing at Le Mans for the Honda TT Legends Team.

Honda's new 2012 CBR1000RR Fireblade hero has made its international debut this week, celebrating 20 years since the CBR900RR appeared in 1991.
The engine itself remains largely untouched, although it gains revised fuel injection settings for improved response at smaller throttle openings.

The rear shock gets a double-tube design developed for improved damping and traction, and there's 43mm inverted telescoping forks up front with the aforementioned Big Piston system.

Key changes are remapped injection for 'smoother' power, a new design of Showa rear shock (the 'Balance Free Rear Cushion'), which Honda also describes as 'smoother', a new second-generation electronic steering damper (it's probably smoother) and a new slipper clutch.

There's also the addition of 'Big Piston' Showa forks, new instruments, stiffer 12-spoke wheels and new styling that's not only more up-to-date but which Honda claims reduces front-end lift.
