Ducati Diavel 2010 EICMA show

Ducati has confirmed it will unveil the new Diavel muscle cruiser at the in Milan, Italy, Nov. 2-7.

According to Ducati, the Ducati Diavel will be powered by the Testatretta 11 degree engine and will be equipped with ABS, Ducati Traction Control, and Ducati Riding Modes. Ducati also claims the Diavel will weigh 456 pounds.

The bike is described by the company as being a mix between a naked street bike (as it is light and agile), a cruiser (imposing and comfortable) and a sports bike (powerful, offering a high level of performance).

The creation comes packed with ABS, Ducati Traction Control and a very interesting Ducati Riding Modes system that offers it a multiple personality (Sport, Touring and City modes available). The front suspension uses a fully adjustable 50mm Marzocchi fork, while the rear one comes with a horizontally mounted fully adjustable Sachs rear shock absorber. The Ducati Diavel tips the scales at 463 pounds/ 210 kg (dry weight), but the company also offers a carbon incarnation of the bike that uses forged Marchesini rims and certain carbon fiber components (tank panels, single-seat cover and front mudguard to cut the weight to 456 pounds (207 kg).

The two-wheeled creation follows the cruiser trend in terms of seating, offering the rider a low seating position, while the fuel tank has a capacity of 4.5 gallons (17 liters).

Among the latest motorcycle accessories, motorbike helmets and motorcycle clothing at the show will be the brand-new Ducati Diavel.

So named after the Bolgonese word for devil, the new bike has been tested in secret, with only the odd grainy spy photo to satisfy Ducati fans' curiosity.

The Ducati Diavel promises "to take the man-motorcycle relationship to the next level in absolute comfort", with stylish, original looks and all the latest technology, such as ABS and Ducati Traction Control.
