Hells Angels and Vagos Motorcycle Gangs in Arizona Shootout

That said, charges have been filed against five men after a shootout between the Hells Angels and Vagos motorcycle clubs on Saturday.

Those charged include 44-year-old John Anthony Bernard, 39-year-old Kiley Steve Hill, 36-year-old Robert Edward Kittredge, 46-year-old Bruce Andrew Schweigert, Sr., and 47-year-old Larry Dean Scott, Jr.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office got several calls around 12:15 p.m. Saturday saying shots were fired in the 2600 block of Yuma Drive.

In total, police made 27 arrests on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, endangerment, participation in a criminal street gang, and unlawful assembly.

Both the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office and the Yavapai County Attorney's Office are being tight-lipped about the whole thing. The men charged in the shootout have each been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, endangerment and participating in a criminal street gang.

Witnesses say that trouble started Saturday afternoon when a group of bikers, who reportedly belong to the Vagos motorcycle gang, rode past a house where another group of bikers, reported to be "Hells Angels", were having a party.
The Hells Angels allegedly opened fire on the Vagos riders who then returned fire, CBS affiliate KPHO reported.
Dozens of Arizona law enforcement officers descended on the area after dispatchers started receiving calls about gunshots, including members of the Arizona State Gang Task Force, Yavapai Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said.

When the dust settled, 27 people were booked on charges ranging from attempted murder and aggravated assault to participation in a criminal street gang. In December, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman said an ongoing power struggle in northwestern Arizona between the Vagos and the Hells Angels had led to a series of violent assaults
