MotoGP - Interwetten Honda MotoGP team have revealed

The Interwetten Honda MotoGP team have revealed they will quit top-flight racing after this weekend's season finale in Valencia.

They will concentrate on Moto2 and 125cc racing next season in the hope of returning to MotoGP in 2012.

Rider Hiroshi Aoyama is expected to join the San Carlo Gresini Honda team.
Aoyama, the last champion of the old 250cc class, joined the Interwetten MotoGP team full of hope for his debut in the elite category.

For most of the MotoGP paddock, this weekend will be the final round of the 2010 MotoGP season. In the meantime, Interwetten Honda will be focusing their efforts on the Moto2 division.
Hiroshi Aoyama rode with the Interwetten Honda team this year, but wasn't able to achieve the results that Honda had hoped for.

Interwetten Honda will continue with Thomas Luthi in the Moto2 division for the 2011 season.
The Interwetten Honda team has confirmed rumours that it will withdraw from MotoGP after this weekend's season finale at Valencia - but has vowed to return in 2012.

Daniel Epp's squad only stepped up to the top level this year, signing 250cc champion Hiroshi Aoyama. It will continue to run a Moto2 team next season while preparing a new MotoGP project.
