saddle tramps motorcycle club fatal road accident.


Saddle Tramp, a motorcycle club, is believed to have lost four of its members in a fatal road accident.

Authorities in Imperial County, California, think a gold Honda Accord caused the crash, not far outside of San Diego.
An oncoming white Dodge Avenger swerved and crashed into the motorcyclists, trying to avoid the Honda.

Six people were also injured in the crash, with several airlifted to hospital. The Gold Honda didn’t suffer any damage and the driver fled from the scene, according to reports.

Prior to the accident , the members met for breakfast in Lakeside . The driver of the Accord fled the scene .

There were a passenger in the Accord who got killed . The driver suffered some serious injuries but survived . No sign of the other driver . Five people were killed and six injured Saturday in a head-on collision involving seven motorcyclists and one car on a rural highway a few miles north of the Mexican border, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Four of the dead belonged to a Lakeside motorcycle club called the Saddle Tramps, according to CHP Officer Deeann Goudie. Goudie said the club was celebrating its 10th anniversary Saturday with a ride across the desert.

Four motorcyclists -- including one husband-and-wife team who were riding the same bike -- were killed, Goudie said. The passenger of the Avenger was also killed.

The gold Honda that tried to pass the motorcycles did not suffer any damage and sped off, Goudie said.
